I meet Antonio long time ago and it's incredible to see how he's been expanding in all directions. The first time we meet, we played in a big teather in Mexico and his set was 90% of the stage... I mean HUGE!!, he was in a prog rock band and sounded like Neil Peart. By the time he went to Berklee he was in to fusion and sounded like Weckl, with all the chops and everything, but then in Berklee he became the ultimate latin drummer, he learned all the rhythms and developed an incredible independence. After that he focused on jazz, he played this tinny set and played relly loose and musical with a hevy swing.
I think Antonio is starting to put all this together and is developing his own voce in the drumms, so keep an eye on him because I know the best is yet to come. Besides he is a very nice guy... (and is from Mexico [img]tongue.gif[/img] )

ing all the bases, moving from
critical genre to genre.
